Some SW-Related Activities of Rastislav Mucha

Areas of Zope/Plone and SW activity (in no particular order):

• translations (related to activities listed below): Plone 1 (unreleased), 2 ("officialy" released in November 2004 although available, from rc1 onwards, since March 2004 from http://plone.uniag.sk, then fzki.uniag.sk:) some other products' translations (some available, some unreleased, yet)

• Plone 2.x.x/3.x.x Slovak translation status:

  last sf.net CVS check-in was on March 31/April 1 2005 — last complete translation of Plone 2.1.x and 2.5.x was commited at svn.plone.org on January 08 2007 — last complete translation of Plone 2.5.x and 3.x.x was commited at svn.plone.org on December 31 2007 — last complete translation of Plone 3.x.x was commited at svn.plone.org on Jul 12 2009

  Plone 2.1.x, 2.5.x, and 3.x.x po-files for Slovak language are also available (gzipped) at this site in the Translations section.

• management support: some archiving/evidence tools so far, the most recent are Plone based and used, in a customized form, also in commercial environments
• e-learning (couple of successfully completed projects funded, HW only, by Slovak Ministry of Education - SME in the frame of initiatives for informational technologies support): Zope/Plone products/tools simExaminer and se_tool (form based examination) along with created environments are used by various departments of Slovak University of Agriculture (SUA=SPU=UniAg) and also for centralized examination of computer skills of university staff
• user communication support, data-mining for normal users "made easy", optimization of user access to the available ICT assests (successfully completed projects funded, HW only, by SME), and CM, customization of Zope, Plone and various Products for the needs of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering Faculty (HLEF=FZKI), Faculty of Europen Studies and Regional Development (FESRD=FEŠRR), and Slovak Agricultural Library (SAL=SlPK) of SUA, a "leading" role in a pilot project with the aim of widespread use of CMS (Zope/Plone:) and integration of university information systems
• development, customization, administration & admin support for servers running Zope/Plone: e.g. at SUA fzki.uniag.sk (see also above), www.fesrr.uniag.sk, cms.uniag.sk, ...
• scientific computing, data analysis/mining, geographic information systems, expert systems, vehicle-routing problems, analysis of complex systems: participation in many active projects (including scientific, IT, commercial/general ones) in various development states using Zope+Plone in combination with other tools as e.g. R, (Fuzzy)CLIPS, sciPy, GRASS, OpenOffice.org, mozilla.org
• talks and publishing (related to projects, I'm not always among the "official" listed authors acting through family members/friends when more convenient, e.g. they need more points for publishing activity or to avoid confusion of referees): annual contribution to proceedings of SUA organized IT related events including talk(s), citation of Python/Zope/Plone in published articles, e.g. including a contribution with my brother (who happens to be the overworked HLEF IT specialist/admin) and his colleagues from the university at the EUNIS 2004 (http://www.eunis.org) congress in Ljubljana
